🐾 POP PI REPORT

October 24
Six states. Ten stops. I went all the way to New Jersey and all the way back to Texas, and I would like everyone to know I did not complain once. (Okay, once. At a rest area. The squirrel started it.)
Indiana was flat. Pennsylvania was hilly. Virginia still smells nice.
Texas smells like home, and home means treats.
I’ve been a very good boy. Again.

❤️ OLIVE SAYS

❤️ OLIVE SAYS
Well, honey... we ran Texas to New Jersey and back like we forgot our purse at the Walmart. Somewhere between Hazleton and Toms Brook I quit counting hills and started counting coffee cups. Lost count of both.
But there’s something about crossing that Texas line again. The sky gets bigger, the drivers get friendlier, and Pop Pi starts sitting up taller like he knows.
Next stop: the yard. Then we’ll see where the road sends us.

🚛 🚛 WE MADE IT BACK TO TEXAS...

❤️ TODAY’S HEARTBEAT
❤️ TODAY’S HEARTBEAT
Texas to Jersey and back again. The miles were long, but the road always brings you home.

Last time I wrote, we were sitting at the Love’s in Toms Brook, Virginia, waiting on a mechanic and a leaky airbag. Well, the airbag got fixed, and the truck decided it was done sitting still.

Since then we’ve covered a lot of ground. Pittsburg, Fort Worth, and now Terrell, Texas, rolling into Helwig Yard.

Pop Pi knew the minute we crossed the Texas line. He sat up a little taller, looked out the window, and I swear he smiled.

Olive says she’s “never been so glad to see a Whataburger sign in her life, honey.”

That’s the thing about this life. You can be stuck in Virginia one day and back home under the big Texas sky a few days later. You just have to keep rolling.

Thanks for riding along with us this week. Let’s see where the road sends us next. ❤️🦴

Desperately searching America for the next patch of grass. 😂🐾

🐾 POP PI’S THOUGHT OF THE DAY

“Okay, so here’s the update. The truck’s boo-boo got fixed! The mechanic did NOT have snacks, which I have noted in my report. 🙄 After that, Mama said, ‘Hold on, Pop Pi,’ and we drove allllll the way to New Jersey and allllll the way back. I counted the states. I got to three and took a nap. Then something wonderful happened. The air changed. The sky got big. Mama started smiling and singing to the radio. I sat up tall, looked out the window, and I knew it. We were back in Texas. 🤠 Now we’re rolling through Terrell and heading to the yard, and Mama keeps saying ‘almost home.’ Those are my two favorite words, right after ‘treat’ and ‘good boy.’ My advice for today: No matter how far you go, keep your nose pointed toward home. And Mama... if we pass a Whataburger, I’m just saying, I’m available. 🐾🍔❤️🚛”

🐾 POP PI APPROVED:

Texas Sky • Window Seat • Fixed Airbag • Almost Home

❤️ OLIVE SAYS

“Honey, I’ve seen New Jersey and I’ve seen Texas,

and only one of ’em has a Whataburger on every corner. Welcome home. 😂❤️”

❤️ OLIVE’S WORD OF WISDOM

You can drive clear to Jersey, honey,
and see every state in between.
But there’s no sky like a Texas sky
when you’re finally headed home.
Every mile out is a mile back. ❤️

☕ ROAD TALK

Come sit a spell. There’s always a story from the road.

🚛 HOME STRETCH.

Six states, one fixed airbag, and a whole lot of Texas sky.

🦴 TEXAS TO JERSEY AND BACK
The road took us far this week, and then it brought us home.

This week started right here in East Texas. We left Hawkins and headed north to Wichita, Kansas, then east to Indianapolis, and kept going all the way to Keasbey, New Jersey. From there it was a short hop to Logan, NJ, then over to Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and down to Toms Brook, Virginia.

That’s where the truck took its vote. The trailer airbag got fixed, and once it did, we pointed the nose south and west and didn’t look back. Pittsburg, Texas. Fort Worth. And now Terrell, rolling into Helwig Yard.

Six states and about 3,500 miles in one week. Pop Pi napped through most of it, Olive kept an eye out for Whataburger signs, and I drank more coffee than I’d like to admit.

There’s a feeling you get crossing back into Texas after a run like that. The sky opens up, the traffic slows down, and your shoulders finally drop. That’s home.

Some weeks you chase the miles. This week, the miles brought us home. ❤️

🚛 BEFORE THE FIRST MILE

The hardest part of any adventure might just be waiting for it to begin.

There's something funny about getting ready to go back on the road.

The truck hasn't moved an inch yet, but in my head, I'm already somewhere out there.

There are bags to pack, things to finish, and about a hundred little details I'm probably forgetting.

But underneath all of that is something I haven't felt in a while… excitement.

The highway is calling again. And this time, Olive, Pop Pi & I are answering. ❤️
